This is a beautiful African hand-carved wood statue of a mother seated and breastfeeding her baby. It is in wonderful condition, with no chips or cracks.

This is probably from the Akuaba area of Southern Ghana and the Fanti people, though it looks like it was made for the export (ie tourist) market in the 20th Century, with more decorative than historic value.
