This is an Abel Renault Painting titled "Reflections". The title is in the bottom left corner and his signature is in the bottom right corner. The picture measures 22" x 17.5" and the frame measures 26.5" x 21". I am unable to determine the medium this was done in. It is primarily brown throughout with some hints of color. The one picture shows the flash, unfortunately, but it shows the true colors of the piece. It is in excellent condition.

The appraised work appears to be a watercolor, or possibly a lithographic print, executed by French artist Abel Renault (1903-1992). The image depicts a rural cityscape scene with cottages at the edges of the composition connected by a decorative bridge constructed over a body of water. Misty trees are placed along the water's edge. Renault appears to have been active in both Paris and other parts of France, and he typically focused on pastoral landscapes, rural street and genre scenes similar to the customer's work. The estimate provided is based on comparables recently offered and sold at auction. The appraised work's size, composition, medium and condition (based on images provided), as well as the artist's current auction market were taken into consideration when determining the estimate. In many cases, pricing for similar examples available on the primary (retail) market vary, and are often higher than secondary (auction) market examples.
