The size of these are 3.75 x 5 3/8 inches. The frames wooden and appear to have a metal piece attached that covers the front. It looks like someone added plastic covers on the back held by duck tape. The dates on the back look like 1836. I can read the first word on top that says gemalt meaning "painted" in German. The frames have some chips and there is discoloration on the metal in the front.
