A set of 2 miniature paintings in wood frames
United States of America

The size of these are 3.75 x 5 3/8 inches. The frames wooden and appear to have a metal piece attached that covers the front. It looks like someone added plastic covers on the back held by duck tape. The dates on the back look like 1836. I can read the first word on top that says gemalt meaning "painted" in German. The frames have some chips and there is discoloration on the metal in the front.

They belonged to my German mother. She brought items she inherited to America.
