Hello Louise, I’m very glad that you chose Mearto for your online appraisal, Considering the photographs, overall pattern, glass quality and the colours, I concluded that this is an Entirely Hand Blown and Hand Decorated Murano Glass Set of Two Pitchers. The pieces likely dates back to the period from 1980 to 2000. This style was one of the most prominent and largely adopted styles of drinking sets in the whole Murano production at the time. The first piec eon the left is a wine picther while the piece on the right is a water pitcher. Both has an intense red main glass body moslty covered by the use of giltwork as well as floral applications. Some of these patterns and styles were adopted from the Bohemian glass style at the time. Border patterns of the gold decorated areas are embossed gilts. The piece are in average quality for Murano pitchers of the time period and production quality. Both piece have gilted handles. The pieces are in good condition without any vsisible problems. Entirely hand blown and decorated glass.
