This is a vintage 1970s velour sofa that is done in a patchwork style designed upholstery with darkwood rails on platforms on each end. The style is not necessarily Mediterranean; nor is velour a good material for a Mediterranean climate. The sofa is influenced by the designs of Milo Baughman who had similar style sofas (with chrome on floating platform) produced and sold through Forecast Furniture. This style is making a little bit of a design comeback and if in very good, clean condition is sale-able. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables.
