Dear Christian, Thank you for the additional images/ information and your patience. The presented object appears to be a U.S. Winchester Model 1873 lever-action rifle with a caliber of 44-40. It has an octagonal barrel and is stamped with the name of the company and the patent on the top of the barrel, with Model 1873 on the connection between stock and lock, and with a not clear readable serial number which could be read as 298969. This would date this gun into the year 1889. The Model 1973 was one of the successful and iconic rifles made by Winchester and is connected with the marketing slogan "The Gun That Won the West". This piece appears to be in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided. A fair market estimation would be between 1.000 to 2.000 USD. This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary. With kind regards, Georg
