Hello Jess, This item is an 1800s twisted Damascus barrel, likely crafted somewhere in the 19th century. It features a double barrel design and percussion lock mechanism, characteristic of firearms from that era. One side of the wooden stock is etched with intricate designs, adding to its aesthetic appeal. The metal plating on the barrels also showcases elaborate etching, demonstrating the attention to detail of the craftsmanship. Notably, when looking down the barrels, the right one is round, while the left one has an octagonal shape, indicating a unique design feature. Additionally, the number "8052" is etched into the butt of the firearm, possibly serving as a serial number or other identifying mark. This piece represents a blend of functionality and artistry, embodying the craftsmanship of gunsmiths during the 19th century.
