My wife and I have had this pair in our collection for quite some time and we know nothing about them. They measure approximately 18” tall and both have wooden shoes. When we purchased these years ago at auction, they were listed as circa 1920s peasant dolls. After researching what they could be, we think they are similar to either Yvonne Spaggiari Giordano and/or Bernard Ravca type dolls. However, we have yet to find any markings on either of them.

Dear Cliff, Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. So that I may best assist you, can you please describe to me what the heads are made of? It looks as if it is moulded cloth that has been painted with oilpaint however it is hard to tell from the photos. Thanks
