Hello Richard, Thank you for choosing Mearto for your online appraisal. These set of items are 16th and 17th century, in very good condition, European Halberds. It comes with documents. A halberd is a two-handed pole weapon that came to prominent use during the 13th, 14th, 15th, and 16th centuries. Troops that used the weapon were called halberdiers. The halberd consists of an axe blade topped with a spike mounted on a long shaft. It always has a hook or thorn on the back side of the axe blade for grappling mounted combatants. Retail prices may differ. The estimate price is $1100 - 1500 each piece.
