Item description : I'm writing to see about a valuation for insurance on my Zhang Hongtu painting, it's a water color and gouache. It is called Beijing Bicyclists I purchased it in the early 1980's from a small gallery/frame shop on third ave in NYC.This was his first sale in the United States. We have been the proud owners of it ever since.I've attached photos of it here. Years ago I was in contact with Hongtu and he explained his story; along the way. I recently had it reframed with Archival mats and museum glass. I'm semi-retired from the film and TV world and am contemplating a move to Callicoon NY from Pittsburgh, Pa. so if an offer were to be presented I would consider a sale.
