Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be just what you suggested, a Thanjavur or Tanjore painting, depicting child Krishna as the butter thief. The metal pigments have oxidized consistend with age, which is most likely second half 19th century. The estimate is based on similar sold in well advertised auctions. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the item.
