I purchase this from a gentleman in Florida. who got it from is wife uncle who was us solider in ww2 the solider name was Many Diaz. he landed in Normandy around 1 week after D-Day. He forced thru Berlin and “liberated” this piece sometime during this period. i believe this silver but not sure. what I can find online the company made several pieces for Hitler. i gave the gentleman $550 for this piece. I dont if i overpaid or underpaid but I thought this was very neat piece of ww2 memorabilia . i am hoping you can shed some light on this piece or its value.
I did A magnet test on this and it pass the test. So without the marks I believe to be this to be pure silver.
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. So that I may best assist you, can you please have a second look if there is a producer hallmark and a silver hallmark. German silver from this period should be hallmarked with a crown and a moon and mainly the number 800.
With kind regards,
