What does this mean?

This is an antique, 19-teens to 1920's turned wood column base floor lamp. Generally, these were made using two half pieces joined together, and sometimes, after aging, one can detect the two seam lines down the sides of the floor base. Original shades were usually done in paneled slag glass and were the first part of the lamp to not survive over time. I do caution that the shade shown in the pictures may be a fire hazard with the wattage of the bulbs, especially with bulbs in the original receptacle. These used to sell for significantly higher several decades ago, however more of these come on to the market which has driven down sale prices.
