16 June 2020
Description

This has been in my family for over 40 years...it appears to be Walnut. it is 82” high, 43” wide and 12” deep. It has a draw, and a locking single door cabinet. The top shelf is a woven mesh? The shelf below the mirror appears to be marble? It has 3 wrought iron braided double hooks on each side of the mirror. The two bottom side Umbrella stations have removable metal trays. The right side wooden umbrella holder is loosed from its socket. The cabinet door latch has a missing upper rivet but the key works to lock and unlock the door. Everything is original and no modifications have been made.

Provenance

The item belonged to my late sister-in-law. She owned it since at least 1980..maybe longer. She was very wealthy.

The markings and etchings of the one I have are very similar to one that I found online selling for $4500....although mine is not identical, I think your appraisal is low..I will upload a pic of the one that is around 4500...

The website you are referencing is a retail site and retail prices; the values Mearto provides are fair-market values for auction purposes and quite a bit lower than retail prices. I would be willing to increase my valuation to $700-1,000 but I do not think it makes sense to raise the price higher than that if you are considering auctioning it. Let me know if you'd like me to up the value to that level.
