Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.

It is a beautiful ruby and diamond gold ring. Such victorian ruby and diamond rings are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
It is a lovely ring with a beautiful and very contemporary design. It appears to be in very good condition despite its age and use/wear. It is a lovely story that it was your grandmothers engagement ring. The rubys a have a good colour and size, and the 4 little diamonds that flank the middle ruby adds a nice touch to the elegant design.
It is a ring that would attract attention from both collectors and dealers if it were to come up for auction.

The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online jewellery auction, where I believe the diamond and ruby gold ring has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to your grandmothers engagement ring. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
Thank you
