I thought this was my fathers and he was in the army but my brother said this is from a different branch. It is made out of some sort of metal
War, branch, and what does it represent
Dear Marsha,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be one US Military WWII collar tab button. This button was probably made out of brass or another yellow alloy metal and has an applied US on the flat-shaped and riffled button. No producer mark or stamp is visible.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 1 to 2 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
George
..wondering if you got my above message??
Would you please let us know what branch of service this is (we have a little family fun argument about this!)
