John c rudd born may 24 1779 in west farms new London CT The Gospel Messenger of Episcopal Church 1827, published in Auburn, NY by Dr. John Churchill Rudd. In 1848 he moved the paper to Utica, NY where he died April 15, 1848, age 68

The presented object appears to be a hard-cover book written by Rev. John Churchill Rudd (1779-1848 ) with the title "A compendium of Geography: Containing, besides the matter usual in such works, a short system of sacred Geography ... to which is added an Introduction to the Study of Astronomy" and with the short title title "The Study of Astronomy". It was published by D. & E. Fenton in Trenton in the year 1819.
This piece is in bad condition and there are various damages like notes, writing exercises, folding, and foxing to the pages visible in the images provided.
