It is a cute little toy bear. Such vintage toys are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The bear is very sweet and looks like it has had a good life with many cuddles and been told many secrets, however it is not the kind of old toy that is extremely valuable when sold at auction. The button eyes are probably a selfmade restoration of the teddys eyes that may have been black glass eyes or stitched originally. The material of the bear points towards the 1960-70s. So I doubt the elderly lady had this particular teddy as a child. It may very well be an american made teddy bear as this kind of soft toy made in these type of materials was extremely popular in the late 60s and early 70s/80s. As for the secondhand value the teddy bear probably has more sentimental value than an actual sales value.

The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online vintage toys auction, where I believe the teddy has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to your teddy bear. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
