Purchased together with the other rug I submitted both purchased on a Asia and Europe trip in the twenties or 1930s.

This is also a Heriz; its a very characteristic combination of color and geometric patterning. It's just a little larger than a prayer mat.

Made in Persia (Iran), first half 20th Century
Two stylized medallions on a dark ground within a red/brown border; trimmed selvedges.
