This is a gorgeous piece in terms of the wood. It is a different type of burl. There seem to be burl touches used as framing or a border for Mahogany. The insides of the drawers are the deepest mahogany. There are interesting feet and it appears the piece has the original key and hardware. The condition is good. The dimensions are 40 inches high by 32.5 inches wide by 29 inches from the desk to the floor and 14.25 inches deep.

The whirled grain on the back looks like knotty pine to me; the rest of this is a lovely flame mahogany.
