Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.

It is a beautiful Kovsh.
However after having examined the photos very carefully we have come to the conclusion that it is not an original Russian Kovsh. The colours of the enamel are not right and the silver stamps does not look original. Unfortunately many of the Kovsh were made many years ago and in that sense they may be old however not as old as it takes to be considered an original Russian Kovsh dating from the late 1800s.

The sentimental value it represents to you will be much higher than the market value.

I am very sorry for the unfortunate news.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
Thank you
