This is a vintage exhibition poster for a show of works by Robert Longo in the Spring of 1985 through Allport Editions in San Francisco California. Allport Editions was established nearly by accident in 1982 and was known for producing posters of works by art world contemporaries. The Robert Longo original signed limited edition prints were produced by Brooke Alexander of NYC, which is a print gallery that is still in business today. A few years ago, this poster print was being re-sold at auction by the Allport Gallery from their old stock; from 2012 - 2014 the Longo Gretchen posters were selling for $400 to high of $1150 in 2013. However, more posters from this open edition were released to the public and by 2017, present-day, these now sell for $30 - $75 at auction. The estimate is based on actual past auction records of comparables.
