Description

This painting is in good condition for its age. The artist name is P.P., or maybe Pablo Picasso according to my amateur research of paintings that look like this one. This painting is an oil painting on some type of wood board with no canvas. Also, this paintings by P.P. may have been a practice painting that was once trashed and recovered by an associate, friend, or the janitor. What does this mean?

Dear Kirk,

Thank you for your help and patience again.

The presented object appears to be a painting made in oil or acrylic paint on canvas with the measurements of 16 x 19 inches. The painting depicts a girl sitting on a couch and reading a book. The depiction of details like the face and the hands, and the style of this painting indicate that the painter of this artwork was not academically educated in art and anatomical drawing. It was made in the second half of the 20th century. This painting is not comparable in style and quality with the work of Pablo PICASSO (1881-1973).
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 40 to 80 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.

With kind regards,
George
