This belongs to my father. He purchased several pieces similar to this over the years and would like to know the value, if there is any.

What does this mean?

Hello again Camilla,

Thank you for your appraisal inquiries with Mearto. The item presented appears to be a Pre-Columbian reclining figure. The object appears to have some resemblance to other Guerrero Mezcala (Mexico) figures. The reclining figure appears to be serpentine stone. A geologist may be able to fully identify the composition of the object.

As I mentioned before, dating the item would require in-person examination. The estimate provided is based on recent auction estimates and results of similar figures in similar dimensions. Please note that dealer or private prices may vary. Further, estimates are contingent on condition and authenticity. Thank you.
