Two possible Filipino Moro knives/swords. Leather scabbards. etched. Another story attached to these pieces is that they were Filipino freedom fighter weapons from WWII. They appear to be steel blades with possible carabao horn or black wood hilts.
My uncle was a Catholic missionary in Luzon and Mindanao from about 1955-1972. He gave these to my father in the mid-sixties, and I inherited them from my father.
Dear collector,
What a nice pair of knives. Its so called bolo knives and well known all over the Philippines. They are 20th century and a typical souvenier to bring home.
Thanks!
