The presented object appears to be a painting made in oil or acrylic paint on canvas with the measurements of 23 x 16 inches. It depicts a globe and the three ships of Christoph Columbus (Santa Maria, Nina, Pinta). This artwork was made after the print by Peter Max with the title "Columbus Quincentennial Subway". It appears to be signed by Peter MAX (1937). The style of the painting appears to be not comparable with the faster and surer brushstroke of Peter Max.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation for an authentic painting by Peter Max would be between 1.000 to 2.000 USD.
