These rugs were made to last, and apparently the oriental rug in your possession has proven to be of lasting quality. Currently the classic oriental rug is not very much in demand, which adversely affects the current market value. The estimate is based on auction results of rugs sold. Prices in the trade are usually much higher and can vary.
