Dear Rashid,
Your rug Persian Ahar rug appears to be in good condition and dates from the early to mid 20th century. Ahar rugs come from the Azerbaijan province of Iran and are very similar in style to Heriz rugs. The difference between the two is that Ahar rugs will have a large center medallion surrounding smaller medallion. The wool is woven on a cotton foundation and tied in thick knots, which in turn creates the lush pile when the rug is cut. Typically Ahar rugs will have around 120 knots per inch. Based on recent price realizations, a fair market estimate for your rug would be between 500 and 1000 US dollars.
Thanks,
Morgan
