Three chambered crystal guilded antique perfume Bottle. Very old. The crystal stoppers are beveled and fit into the beveled bottle opening. The opening has the metal material formed around it. I do not see any Hallmark or stamps. The metal looks like brass or copper, not sure.
Inherited from mother
This is an antique late 19th century, Napoleon III, about 1880s, French crystal and ormolu (gilt metal) scent or perfume caddy. The crystal perfume bottles are by Baccarat, a French glass firm. Teh caddy holds 3 bottles that are triangle form. Only 2 of the stoppers are matching, so either one or two have been replaced from the originals; which is not uncommon for stoppers. The metal caddy is likely molded bronze with gilding. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
Thank you for the images. Please do add images of the underside of each of the bottles.
Ok done
Yes Nora, the longer two stoppers belong, because they fit snuggly and tightly. The shorter one is beveled smaller and fits loosely. I failed to mention this detail earlier.
Thank you
Is the metal hallmarked or stamped anywhere? Dod the receptacles come out of the metal mount? If yes, please add images of the underside of the bottles too.
