This painting measures about 31 x 34 overall. It has been shown in the Gilcrease Museam in Tulsa, the Ashby-Hodge Gallery of American Art in Mo. as well as in a number of smaller shows. The sale includes a file on the painting which has a letter from Charles Banks Wilson (1994), wherein he tried to repurchase it "for sentimental reasons". Mr. Wilson who painted the murals on the inside of the Oklahoma State Capital, was declared an "Oklahoma Treasure" during the 2001 Oklahoma Governor's arts awards.
Provenance Mr. Wilson taught art at the NE Oklahoma College in Miami, Ok. While there, he created this painting and later gifted it to his friend, John Wallace.
