What does this mean?

Dear Reza,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.

The appraised item appears to be a French legal document on quality paper with a printed seal and stamp of the first French Empire ruled by Napoleon Bonaparte from 1804 until 1815. This two page adjoined document is signed and dated by Maillard,1809 on the second page. It is in good to very good condition.

The estimation highlighted in red above is based on comparables offered and sold at auction in the last five years. The condition (based on photographs and comments provided), as well as the rarity of the item, were taken into consideration when determining the estimate. In many cases, pricing for similar items available on the primary (retail) market vary and are often higher than secondary (auction) market examples.

Best regards,

Karine
