Description

The bench sits two people comfortably. The artwork was done by several artists from New York. Materials are wood, tapestry, porcelain, cushion, inlay art work throughout.

Provenance

The bench was purchased from an art shop in Alexandria, Virginia in 2003. It was made and sold by MacKenzie-Childs. It takes a month and many artists to finish one bench. At that time, they only made a total of 12 benches per year.

This is the first time I am paying so-called experts to appraise my valued property. How disappointing to perceive that a machine may have done the job and not an actual human expert to genuinely appraise the item. Sorry, but I could have done a better job than what you did. I am retrieving my subscription and will dispute your charges shortly.

To support my claim, attached is the website for MacKenzie-Child’s that manufactured this bench and matching lamp. As you can see, their prices are much, much higher than your hurried appraisal. Thanks, but no thanks!

The website link you provided is the retail prices; the values Mearto appraises at are fair-market, for auction. It's the secondary market whereas retail prices is the primary market. My values are in-line with what Mackenzie-Child's pieces are currently bringing at auction.
