It is a beautiful ring. The design of the ring with the small flowers is very decorative and makes the ring special. Such vintage gold rings with opals are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The ring was made in the first part of the 1900s, the diamonds on the side are rather small and appear to have some inclusions, however this is difficult to see from the photos. The opal has a beautiful colour and shine to it and the overall impression of the ring is very nice.

The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online jewellery auction, where I believe the ring has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the lovely opal ring. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
