JAPANESE TANTO DAGGER - With a carved ivory handle and steel blade enclosed in an ivory sheath made in two sections. Carving portrays fierce battle scenes between Samurai warriors and the storming of battle escarpments. Likely a presentation dagger, for ceremonial occasions. Unmarked. Condition good; minor age cracks as seen. Late19th/Early 20th century. 14.75" long; blade 9.5"
