Description

The piece is 5’2” wide, 2’10” high. The screen is thick paper surrounded by fabric.

Provenance

The piece was given to my mother in law in 1986. It’s original owner was Fred Couples who bought it in the early 80’s when he lived in Newport Beach, CA.

What does this mean?

Hand painted Japanese table screen for decorative purposes. Its made mid 20th century. I cannot decipher the name of the maker but I believe its not so important; these are fast made for export purposes and I would not expect it to be an important art piece.
