Cain back, dark mahogany stained wood. French Louis XVI style legs and inlay. Pegs, no nails. Several people have suggested it is from the latter part of the nineteenth century.

It belonged to my great-grandmother in New York City. Don't know if it goes back any further. Never been exhibited.
