Italy Madonna and Child Retable
High relief Madonna and Child sculpture retable, made of what seems to be sterling silver plated copper, signed by artist and marked "Fabrique Italy" approximately 30 cm tall by 25 cm wide, on hardwood backing.
My father traveled around the world and bought this in Italy probably in the Seventies.

The presented object appears to be a relief mounted on a wooden backing with the measurements of 30 cm tall by 25 cm wide. The relief depicts Madonna and Child and was made out of a silver-coloured cast artificial mass. The mass could be a non-ferrous metal but this is very difficult to decide on the base of images. The relief is signed with the name "A Paume" but the name is not clearly readable. Additional we have the stamp "Fabrique Italy". This piece was made in the middle or second half of the 20th century. This estimation is based on the assumption the relief is made out of copper which was silver-plated.
This piece is in damaged condition and there are damages on the silver plating visible.
An estimation would be between 30 to 60 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.

Indeed the signature is longer and has more letters. I excuse for my mistake.
Sadly the middle of the signature is rubbed away and it is still not readable. I tried all possible combinations of the letters and usually, just the first letters are needed because the databases can be assorted alphabetical.

I received my appraisal today. I use Mearto instead of other online appraisal companies because of the professionalism of the appraisers. And although I do not have the knowledge required for disputing your appraisal, I definitely think you could have at least provided some more information and research on the last name of the artist, as seen on the signature on the piece.
You claim the artist's name is plainly A Paume, when the pictures clearly show the signature has more letters than that. I need you to please do some more research on the artist.
