This is a copy that I painted of Marc Chagalls painting I and the Village.I fell in love with his work when I was in high school, leading me to paint two of his paintings although I had never painted before.I own three of his lithographs. This is approximately 16'x20" as is the other painting that I submitted(The Fiddler).Think I did the painting on canvas board(I think that is what we had available back then). This was painted by me in the period of 1967-1969.
History is simple.I painted it between 1967 and 1969.It has been in my cellar all these years except for the last two years. It is now on my living room wall and looks very good there.Along side The Fiddler.Just curious if it has any value.I don't need the money and don't really care to sell.Thank you.Never exhibited.
