What does this mean?

Thank you for contacting Mearto. This is a Chinese calligraphic poem. It is in the style of Huang Tingjian (1045-1105), a Song Dynasty master.

This is not an authentic work however, as the material is rice paper and shows slight buckling. An original painting would have been on silk, and show much more age than this. Students of calligraphy use rice paper to practice, and this is an example of a copy of Huang’s style.

The Fair Market Value of this piece is between $10 and $30.
