You have a Chinese or Japanese export mother-of-pearl inlaid hardwood (possibly camphorwood) chest, late 19th century. It appears to be in good condition commensurate to age and will not lose value if you use it and enjoy it. If there are areas in which the mother-of-pearl or other inlays are missing, the value might be a little bit less.
