I was told it is French , custom made and then went unworn, sold in estate sale by daughter in Portland , Oregon - Marquam Auction Agency. They have a stellar reputation.

It is a beautiful vintage diamond and sapphire gold ring. Such vintage jewellery are being offered at auction on a regular basis. The ring made of 18 kt yellow gold set with large cut sapphire surrounded by numerous smaller diamonds with 1,7 ctw. The ring is fashionable and very smart in design and was probably made in the last part of the 1900s. The marks are too unclear on the photo for me to determine if it is French or Italian, however design wise it could be both.
I believe that the ring would attract the attention of both collectors and dealers if it came up for auction.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online jewellery auction, where I believe the ring has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the gold sapphire and diamond ring. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
