Description

Approx. 5'x10' Hand-Carved Vietnamese Dining set including 8 chairs. The wood is believed to be teakwood. Year made is unknown.

Provenance

The table was purchased by my grandparents while traveling overseas. It's only resided at their residence in Green Bay Wisconsin after being shipped to the USA.

Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

A Southeast Asian carved hardwood (probably teakwood) dining table
early 20th century
comprising of a dining table with deeply carved recessed top, decorated rails and cabriole legs ending in carved trifid feet; together with eight side chairs with deep relief-carved backs, and cabriole legs ending in carved trifid feet. Table accompanied by glass top; chairs with inset cushions (not pictured)
Table probably about 30 inches high, 120 inches long, 60 inches wide
PROVENANCE: inherited from grandparents who acquired overseas
$6,000-9,000 for the entire set*
