What does this mean?

Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a set of aquatint etchings with hand coloring by Charles BENTLEY (1806-1854) of a series of six titled "A steeple chase", after Henry Alken (1785-1851), published in 1832. Alken was one of the leading sporting artists in the early 19th century. The prints in your possession might be later printings. Identical sets were sold in recent years. The estimate is based on these results. Such prints were quite expensive in the 1950s to 1980s. Today the general taste has changed and prices are quite modest. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the items.
