What does this mean?

Hi Djordje,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
From the photo, this looks like this is no earlier than early 20th Century; if you can take and attach photos showing the underside I can better advise on if the age is older than that. Certainly the white paint is a later surface.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

An Empire style white-painted Savanorola or curule window bench
probably early 20th Century
The X-form with turned arms with applied bellflower decoration, a purple seat cushion over a rail with applied decoration, the x-form base centering an applied rosette, on paw-form feet.
28 1/4 inches high, 30 inches long, 17 1/2 inches deep
CONDITION: appears to be in very good conditon
PROVENANCE: acquired at a moving sale
$600-900*
