What does this mean?

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. Based on the photographs and description provided, the subject of this appraisal is a black Fender Stratocaster made in Mexico, with a serial number of MN6110500, circa 1996-1997.

The guitar features black pickups and hardware knobs on a mother of pearl pickguard that is may not be original to the guitar. A Roland GK-3 split pickup is attached to the guitar and its cord is secured with tape beneath the bridge. The approximate value of the pickup alone is $100. The piece appears in good used condition, but it is unknown how the Roland pickup is mounted and if any alterations to the body were made in mounting it. There are numerous scratches and minor dings noted on the guitar, as well as belt rash.

In consideration of the factors noted, a Fair Market Value (pre-auction estimate) of this guitar would be estimated at $200 to $300.
