Hi David,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

Of circular section with lobed rim, the interior in robins-egg blue, the exterior decorated with animals and flowers, square underglaze iron red mark to the bottom.
2 1/4 inches high, 7 inches wide
CONDITION: appears to be in good condition with some pitting to glaze and wear commensurate to age and use.

Thanks!
1stDibs is a retail (primary market) site; the values Mearto provides are for auction (secondary market); sellers never disclose the selling prices and they can ask any price they like hoping to find someone who doesn't know better and is willing to pay that price. Frankly, I would be VERY surprised if they found a buyer at that level.
Comparing the two, the enameling on the $7800 bowl is much more expertly done, the blue color on the interior is more vibrant and less worn, and the shaping of the bowl itself is more crisply executed, with a nice clear underglaze iron-red mark.
In the current auction market, the $200-300 value is in line with where these bowls are selling and while I would consider raising the value to $300-500, I wouldn't be comfortable valuing it higher than that. Let me know if you'd like me to amend the value.
