Dear Kay,
This big Buddha figure is made IMO in Nepal in second half 20th century. I will make a conditional report because I cannot confirm real gold is used. Could also be gold paint. I can go with your thought it must be 24 carat gold but I know those are rare and usually older. Despite the recent production date the buddha is of really nice condition and atmosphere. The size and color are impressive. I would feel if this came to auction it would fetch around the estimate. If no real gold is used I believe 50% is more realistic.
