The sun motif is wideley used in various cultures, this might be mexican fashion jewelry or rather an open bangle from India. There are no hallmarks of any kind on the metal band, it therefore can not be gold. The estimate is based on similar items of similar age and design offered or sold at auction. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to it.
