What does this mean?

Good afternoon, Graham,

Georg Jensen retailed pieces by other cabinetmakers in addition to selling their own line. I think it is unlikely they would have made it and not put their label/stamp on it but doesn't mean they didn't sell it. It is a fairly standard Midcentury form - hard to make an attribution based on looks alone.

Based on the photographs and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

A Midcentury modern teak cabinet
Possibly retailed by Georg Jensen, New York City, mid 20th century
With two sliding doors, the interior fitted with sliding drawers and shelves.
49-1/2 inches high by 51 inches wide by 17-3/4 inches deep
Provenance: inherited from Mother's estate
$600-900

I do no see any signature or stamp on the cupboard. I’m repeating the exact appraisal documentation done for insurance purposes in 1995 by my mother with Elizabeth Gladwell Associates of Bedford, Virginia. All of the Danish antiques came from one set of grandparents in New Orleans LA. This piece was represented by my mother to the appraiser as being purchased new at the George Jensen retail store in NY NY. The black leather armchair I’m appraising here still has that exact furniture retail store tag on it reflecting this (attached here for depiction. But I have no real documentation or proof if it was made by Jensen. Which is why I’m asking YOU this...
