This is a 20th century, French Louis style marble-topped serpentine-front commode with hand painted scenes. The chest is attributed to the late 19th to 20th century French ebeniste, François Linke (1855-1946). There is not mention here that the piece is signed or marked Linke and this assessment does not serve as an authentication of such.
